Currently, my workout attire consists: a pair of black compression shorts, a multitude of over-sized, figure concealing, boxy shirts, two white sports bra (small so as to constrain the girls), and pairs of black and white socks.
Yes, I know! I must have the most fashionable taste in gym clothes you’ve ever seen! And, yes, they do double as pajamas most, if not all, of the time. Hey, I find that I only workout if I go bright and early in the morning, so wearing my clothes to bed helps the process along. Don’t think I don’t yearn for the likes of Lululemon, Gymshark, and Target brands, but sadly, I don’t have the money to dish out almost one hundred dollars on a pair of leggings at Lululemon…and a great big “How do you do it?” to all of those who can. What a happy life you lead.
I envy my fitness inspirations on YouTube, Instagram, and other media sites that every day open their closets, mail packages, and P.O boxes to reveal an array of color-coordinated, figure flattering, pastel workout clothes (or in their case everyday clothes). Good for them for achieving their goals and working hard each day to showcase their rock hard bodies in an endless quantity of fine clothing. So, while I wallow in my
pajamas workout clothes, I am already making plans for what the future may hold for me in terms of fitness fashion.
Here are a few of those items.
For those of you who don’t know, Nikki Blacketter is my biggest inspiration on YouTube, and y’all should totally check her out! She’s one of the main reasons I decided to start this journey early this Spring. She is the one modeling the shorts, and she makes them look damn good!
Bonsoir mes amies!
